Disneyland Offers Cheap Tickets To Select Visitors From July 16 For A Limited Time If They Live In This City

Millions of travelers flock to Disneyland each year, but the magical destination comes with a price tag that can exceed $100 for its cheapest option. The Anaheim, California, park has announced a new, limited-time discount: Anaheim-based visitors can visit for one day for $71. The discounted tickets are set to go on sale on July 16. This comes on the heels of an evening-ticket promotion that the park offered, which sold out quickly.

Recently, the popular destination, which has been open since 1955, celebrated its billionth visitor. While summer is considered the busiest time of year to visit, some visitors may still be able to get discounts during peak travel.

Breakdown Of New Disneyland Discount For Select Visitors

Disneyland Resort is offering one-day $71 tickets from July 20 through Oct. 8 for Anaheim residents. The discounted tickets are set to go on sale on July 16, according to the park. Tickets at this price point only allow one park visit.

A one-day park hopper ticket, which allows guests to see all the parks, will be on sale for $104 for Anaheim residents. Children living in Anaheim who are between the ages of 3 and 9 are in for an even better deal.

Both a 1-Day, 1-Park ticket and a park hopper ticket will cost $50 for those ages.

Park reservations are still required — which has been in place since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here’s the breakdown of the discount offering:

Parents bringing a child under age 3 do not need to purchase a ticket for them, as children of that age can enter the park free.

For comparison, as of July 6, one-day, one-park tickets for ages 10 and up are priced between $104 and $199 between July and August — the park-hopper pass ranges from $179 to $289.

For ages 3 through 9, during that same time period, one-day, one-park tickets range from $98 to $189, while the park-hopper pass ranges from $189 to $279.

The promotion runs through the beginning of the Halloween season, which takes place from August 21 through Oct. 31. Visitors can see Halloween-themed decorations around the park and characters dressed for the holiday.

This promotion followed another discount offered to Anaheim residents; however, it sold out quickly.

Previous Disneyland Discount For Select Visitors That Sold Out

Disneyland Resort offered $59 tickets for select evening admission to any theme park. Tickets were available to purchase for entry on Sundays and Wednesdays from July 12 through Aug. 5.

Entry times vary by location, officials said.

Visitors can enter Disneyland Park starting at 7 p.m. and Disney California Adventure Park starting at 5 p.m., with access lasting through each park’s closing time.

Park reservations were still required.

The park’s focus on California-based visitors has been important recently. An executive told the Los Angeles Times that the high number of visitors from California has helped mitigate the decline in international visitors. Over 50% of those visiting the park have been from California, according to the newspaper.

In May, Disney executives said its U.S. parks had a 1% drop in attendance compared to the previous year. The company attributed the dip to “continued softness” in international visitors.

However, during a May earnings call, Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro said the park has been navigating past those “known attendance headwinds.”

The company has previously shifted its marketing and promotional efforts to target a domestic audience, Hugh Johnston, senior executive vice president and chief financial officer, said.

Disneyland has been commemorating its 70th anniversary from May 16, 2025 through Aug. 9, 2026, with new shows and ride additions.

In May 2025, Disneyland’s famous ride, It’s a Small World, debuted a new look to its Mexico section. In addition to the original characters, who have been present since the ride’s 1966 opening, Coco and his dog, Dante, are now included as well.
